Victorian silver commemorative mug, in Gothic revival style. London. 1861. Maker: John Hardman Powell.
The circular foot is inscribed with a dedication to Francis Warre-Cornish. The mug commemorates the appointment of Francis Warre-Cornish (1839-1916) as a Schoolmaster at Eton College in 1861. Francis Warre-Cornish became Vice Provost of the College in 1893.

Loving this! It’s like you’re in the museum with the curator. It would be great if it were possible to have some audio controls as there was a part I wanted to skip back to and hear again. Anyway, amazing work on an amazing work!
